SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – MACHU PICCHU 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT

The Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu impressive citadel can be visited in two days one night with a comfortable stay in the skirts of the impressive Apu Machu Picchu.

DAY 1: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY

We will pick up you from the hotel at 8:30a.m. To star the guided excursion to the Sacred valley of the Incas, passing through the following places:

PISAQ:

typical Andean and archaeological village where Indian artisans sell their products. Enjoy this fair, typical markets and archaeological complex.

URUBAMBA:

Surrounded with beautiful landscape, here is where we will have our buffet lunch.

OLLANTAYTAMBO:

The architectural scene is of exceptional interest for the size, style and originality of its building. Ollantaytambo is one of the most peculiar and surprising archaeological parks of Peru, for the multiplicity of architectural types and the singularity of each one of them; here we will visit the archaeological remains and typical Indian market. Transfer to the train station in Ollantaytambo, which goes to Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu pueblo, the train leaves at 20:00hrs must be at the train station at 19:30hrs.

You will arrive to Aguas Calientes at 21:45hrs, transfer to the hotel. Overnight in the hotel.

DAY 2: MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO

Early morning we take the first bus at 05:30 am to be in Machu Picchu as soon as the sun comes up. Due to the early time of the day we will provide you with a snack instead of a full breakfast at the hotel. During a tour of the ruins of Machu Picchu, our experienced bilingual guide will explain all about the history and explain the most important sites of this amazing place. The guided tour will last approx.

2 hours and afterwards you will have enough time to explore the site on your own and if you like you have time to climb Huayna Picchu (the mountain within the site of Machu Picchu, from where you have an amazing view over the site) and can make pictures from the whole Sanctuary. Please let us know at the time of your booking if you are interested in the climb as we need to obtain a permit for you.

The climb will take about 50 min one way. After enjoying the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu you can take the bus down to Aguas Calientes to enjoy a meal in one of the various restaurants, enjoy a dip in the nearby hot springs (meal and entrance not included) or spend some time in the town. In the evening you go to the train station in order to board your train back to Cusco.Train departure time 06:35pm or 09:30pm. Please ensure you are at least 20 min before departure time at the train station.
